There's nothing like a luxurious bubble bath after a long day, whether you work at home, in an office or even in literal salt mines. If you enjoy aromatherapy, or if you just like the warm foam, a bubble bath is always a welcome bath-time treat.
Bath Time Relaxation
Why are bubble baths so wonderfully calming? Well, to start, the foam helps keep the water warm longer, keeping you snug in your tub. There's also something relaxing about the soft foam surrounding you. There's more to bubble bath than simple foamy fun though. Many bubble baths are infused with natural oils and extracts to give you a spa-fresh feeling. These include:
* Eucalyptus: Great for colds and general congestion, as well as arthritis relief.
* Ginger: Helps reduce nausea, relieve allergy symptoms.
* Lavender: Can help with headaches, skin conditions like eczema and bug bite irritation, and sleep difficulties.
* Chamomile: Another relaxing aromatherapy scent, also said to heal skin and help you sleep.
Oatmeal and Shea butter are also great for soothing dry or irritated skin. There are even soothing bubble bath products for kids. Most children will gladly take a bubble bath, and be soothed by products with the above infusions. Care should be taken when introducing little ones to bubble bath, as some brands contain allergens and irritants. Be sure to test bubble bath on skin before use. Kids who suffer fromĀ allergies but still wish to enjoy a bubble bath may enjoy unscented bubble bath or bath bombs.
Always check the product before use in hot tubs and whirl pools.
