Basic Guide to Hipsters

Contents[Hide]

Hipster is a term used currently to describe a young counter-culture. They are pre-occupied with art and live by irony. The art they like or dislike is always meant to be ironic. Hipsters tend to reject everything mainstream, and if they like something mainstream, it is because it is ironic for a hipster to like something mainstream. Get it? Oh, and hipsters never admit to being hipsters. Love them or hate them, here is your guide to hipsters.

Hipster Clothes

So You Want To Dress Like a Hipster?

Skinny Jeans  are a must for hipsters, male or female. The tighter the better!

Graphic/Ironic t-shirts  are worn by hipsters. Shirts must be tight.

Colorful sneakers  are the main footwear choice of hipsters, although they have been known to wear go-go boots  for the ironic effect. Sneakers are usually made by Vans  or Converse  or purchased from a thrift shop.

Vintage sunglasses worn rain or shine. Cat-eye shaped sunglasses or colorful sunglasses are popular among hipsters.

Hats are popular with hipsters because they can be a great source of irony. Wearing a Fedora  with a modern outfit is a sure sign of a hipster.
