Baseballs
The typical baseball is 9 to 9.5 inches in circumference. It features a rubber or cork center wrapped in yarn and covered in leather. There are also softballs, which are larger and have a 16 inch circumference.
Other Tees
Tees have been created for all sorts of sports. They function is to replace the pitcher in baseball and hands in golf and football. Golf tees are hardly larger than three inches and stick up out of the green to help balance the golf ball and keep it steady until the kicking tee in football is usually made of plastic and has prongs and/or a brim around an inner depression to hold the ball.
