Dent Pullers

By User:AllieCashel @timeAndDate(1277921274) Getting into a car accident is stressful enough without the overwhelming cost of getting your car fixed at the repair shop. If you get into a fender bender, taking your car to the garage to receive small repairs can actually cost you thousands of dollars. What no one is telling you is that you can use the same tools they have at the shop for only a few dollars and fix this problem on your own. At the shop, mechanics use a variety of pullers: pullers you can buy on your own to fix the dents in your car. They're incredibly easy to use, won't add to the damage of your car, and are nice and cheap. You can literally save yourself thousands of dollars by electing to repair the body of your car at home, so what's holding you back?

Suction Dent Pullers

Although there are a variety of different kinds of pullers on the market right now, suction pullers are the most popular among home buyers: they are simple to use and are very unlikely to damage your car. Other pullers have metal teeth or require drilling small holes into cars, which inexperienced owners often feel nervous about doing. Suction pullers, however, require no tools other than the puller itself and the only things that touch your car is a suction cup and your hands. They are highly recommended for people looking to fix their cars cheaply and easily. In case you're looking for another puller, some other types include The Park Splined Crank Puller.

How to Use Your Puller

If you decide to purchase a suction puller, it is uncommon to receive directions along with your new tool. Normally, most of the other types include a set of directions, but with this sucker (pun intended) you will need a bit of assistance before you begin. Here are some tips: * Before you start, wash the area of your dent with soap and water, making sure that you remove any grease or dirt that could prevent the tool from obtaining a strong suction force. * Press your puller firmly into the dent so that it will have good suction once it is attached to your car. * While you are pressing into the dent (don't worry about making it worse, you are about to pull it back out) squeeze the handles on the puller together until they lock in place. If you don't get a good lock, repeat the steps above. * If you can't get good suction, or your dent is more severe, start outside the dent and slowly work your way into the center, repeating the above steps each time. * Gently and firmly pull on the handles of the tool and draw out the dent until it is smooth and level with the rest of your car. * You may see a small wrinkle or two from the impact of the accident, but if all has gone well, you're dent will be fixed!
