Archery Arrows

The type of arrow you use can alter the speed and accuracy of any shot. Make sure to choose wisely. Most archers chose between two basic types of arrows, fiberglass or aluminum. Occasionally you will find wooden arrows, although they are no longer the preferred method.

Types of Arrows

Wood Arrows

Wooden arrows  are the most traditional option. While they are a classic option, there is a reason other materials have grabbed a larger portion of arrow sales. Wooden arrows can occasionally splinter and break, leaving dangerous shards sticking out of targets or on the shaft itself.

If you do decide to go with wood arrows try out cedar  or poplar  arrows. Poplar is a more economical option, but also slightly worse in the quality department.

Glass Arrows

Fiberglass arrows  are better quality than wooden arrows. They do not shatter and splinter the same way wood does, considering fiberglass is highly flexible. During flight, these arrows will be more consistent and have a much more durable shaft.

Deluxe Glass Target Arrows  are an affordable fiberglass option, while safety glass arrows  are a higher quality product.

Aluminum Arrows

Aluminum arrows  are very strong and durable. These are good for hunting and allow greater flexibility when choosing arrowheads.

For an accurate and fast shot, try Cajun Aluminum Arrows.
