Air Fresheners Buying Guide

Air Fresheners  are a great way to cover up that dog odor or smelly shoe stench from your carpet or closet. Almost every household has at least some sort of air freshener. Let's consider what you're going to be using an air freshener for before looking at the options. Are you looking for a bathroom spray? Something to make your house smell generally warm and welcoming? Do you have pets that you'd like to eliminate the smell of? 

For general scents in a large area, try a large scented candle. This will diffuse your favorite scent over an extended period of time, but will not cover up strong odors in upholstery or carpeting. One of the better scented candles  would be Glade jar candles.  The fresh scent will make any house smell clean!

For stubborn odors, you'll want to enlist the help of an odor-eliminating spray  or plug-in.

This is a perfect option for pet-loving homes and will cover up a host of smells!  For bathrooms, try Febreeze Air Effects.  They have dozens of scents that are appealing to almost anyone!	Glade  makes some great air fresheners as well. Try their sprays  that are scented with essential oils, including Clean Linen,  French Vanilla  and Melon Burst.  The Air Infusion  line also offers many unique scents. However, it combines Ultra-Last technology with essential oils to last up to an hour in any room.	Citrus Magic  has a much more limited supply of air fresheners. However, their sprays not only freshen the air but naturally eliminate odors as well. The spray itself is in a non-aerosol container for 'green' minded consumers and is made of all natural materials.	Odor Neutralizer  only comes in an unscented form. While it will not create a new scent in any given room, it will chemically eliminate any existing odors, leaving your house smelling nice and new.  This is a perfect option for stubborn odors in kitchens, carpets, and bathrooms.

Scented Plug-Ins

Glade Plug Ins  are an incredibly effective plug-in air freshener. The Scent Gel Plug-Ins  are very affordable and can last up to 30 days. The great thing about these is that they have a convenient outlet on the front panel so none of your electrical outlets are rendered useless.	Yankee Candles  have an entire line of electric air fresheners.  Because The Yankee Candle Company specializes in scented candles and oils, these plug-ins have some of the most pleasing scents.	For a more high-tech option try a time metered Automatic Air Freshener.  These will release scents when you program them to, giving you more flexibility in your air freshener.
