Adult Costumes

For the purposes of this guide, "adult costumes" simply means "costumes for adults, " although some of them might be more racy than others. There are so many categories and almost infinite possibilities for costumes -- don't feel limited by these choices, which are just a few of the most popular. Don't feel limited by gender, either -- Halloween is the time to bend the rules.

Hot This Year

Whether you're going for a hot or cool Halloween costume, we have the cream of the crop to satisfy both options!

Pirates
Pirate costumes never go out of style and they are as popular for men and women as they are for the kids. If you are still feeling the call of the Caribbean, you can go as Captain Jack Sparrow, but many adults will just head out as a saucy swashbuckler.

Hogwarts Students
With a fresh new movie, even Muggle adults will love dressing as Harry! You can also create any character with the options of a scarf, tie, or robe ; add the right wig and wand and you can be any witch or wizard that you want.

Comics
The comic book heroes of your youth are back in style with a bunch of hit movies. Choose from among Wolverine, Batman, Robin, Spiderman, and others. There are even some sexy variations for women to wear, like Wonder Woman and Batgirl!

Star Wars
If the force is with you, look for Jedi robes and a light saber. Ladies might also go as Padme Amidala or the perennial favorite, Princess Leia. Men can relive those childhood fantasies as Anakin, Luke, Obi-Wan, Chewbacca or the ominous Darth Vader. And anyone can go as R2D2 or C3PO!

Witch
Try being a sorceress if you're feeling extra-powerful, but look for variations to the classic witch costume in purple, orange, or white.

Vampiress
Also try searching the terms vampira or goth. Don't forget the fake blood capsules.

Most people pick one or the other, but you can be a little of both if you want.

Fairy
