Hard water contains a particularly high amount of mineral deposits in it and it can be rough on skin. Some prefer to treat their homes with water conditioners or water softeners. Water conditioners are often used as a part of caring for fish in an aquarium. You also need to regularly check for your water mineral levels so you can add water conditioners to your pool so there won't be any lime or calcium build-up that will interfere with your pool's functioning over time. For household water conditioning, there are salt, magnetic, and non chemical varieties to consider.
Bummers of Hard Water
While this may be more cosmetic, hard water and hair don't always agree. People soften the tap water coming into their home so that they can prevent mineral build up on their household plumbing, but also because it's better for your skin and hair. It's actually hard to use your water to rinse, lather, and clean whether we're talking about shampoo or cleaning supplies. The water just isn't pure enough to react the way it should with soaps and detergents. Hard water can also leave rust, lime, or calcium deposits on your bathroom walls or sink.
