Types of Wafer Cookies
There are two major types of wafer cookies. The overall shape is different and so is the way they are made. Whichever type of wafer cookie you choose to purchase, the end result is nothing but a satisfied sweet tooth.
The first type of wafer cookie you might be familiar with. It's the classic wafer cookie. It is made of layers of very flat, thin cake with flavored cream in between each layer. You may be most familiar with the rectangular shape which seems to be the most common. The outer layers of the cookie usually have a waffle pattern on them but not all! Some have the brand stamped on or other designs. While at the supermarket, you will find these cookies sealed.
The other type of wafer cookie is a cylindrical container so the cookies can stand up straight.
