Ray Bradbury is a novelist, short story writer, essayist, playwright, screenwriter, and poet. Basically, he's nothing short of creative genius. The man is 89 years old and his intellectual juices are still flowing. He has published 30 books and nearly 600 short stories, so to say he is prolific is an understatement. His genres include mystery, science fiction, horror, and fantasy, but his best known work to date is the dystopian novel ''Fahrenheit 451'' one of those classic works forced upon young teens in school, which they all enjoy but are too cool to admit. He has won numerous awards and many of his novels and short stories have been adapted to both film and television. I think it's safe to say he's one of the most influential writers of the 20th century.
