Dude, you are so the rock star. You've got your two-toned, wild emo bangs; guyliner, an awesome black bass, and your jumping off amps in the studio. Your band, Silent Sorrows of Solitude Squared (SSSS for short, like a snake) has taken over the spot. You are recording the new album, Songs for a Shattered, Mutilated, Sad Excuse for a Heart, and planning on releasing the hit single, Not Even Puppies Can Cure This Pain.
The music, the emotion, it's taken over and you are in full on rock out mode. We're talking crazy kicks and frequent head banging (even though it's a ballad but that's ok, you gotta be hardcore even in your softest moments). In your awesome thrashing about, you may have trashed some of the racks and stuff that were in the studio. Just a little bit. And now the owner needs you to replace it or they are pulling the plug on your whole setup.
Rack Shelves and Storage
The shelves are a wreck. How the heck is the studio going to organize those crazy electronic doodads? I mean, you don't know what they do, but who said musical know-how had anything to do with being a musician?
* Sliding shelves are great for bigger equipment that is frequently used. These make it easy to access heavy things without carrying them aroundjust slide them out.
* Make sure the shelving you're installing is going to be able to carry the weight of your electronics.
* A rack rail stand is a great idea. It can hold and other equipment and is easily movable, as it's not as large or heavy as a full cabinet.
* Drawers can also be added to racks to keep certain items better protected from dust and smaller items together in one place.
Other Accessories
Shelves won't hold themselves up. You'll need the right bolts and some other accessories.
* Vent panels help keep your shelves looking neater, and they will prevent your larger electronics from overheating.
* Rack screws will fit right when installing rack shelving and they blend in so they can't be seen.
* An outlet power supply center is a great way to keep all those wires neat and surge protected.
