Your child is entering their toddler years and you want to get a head start on teaching them some of the basic skills. Whether you think your kid might be the next Picasso or a worldkindergarten toys which exercise their minds but are also going to keep interest. Because what fun are toys that you know are teaching you something?
Building Toys
Building toys are a classic that help kids learn spatial reasoning, which is the ability to visualize patterns and helps navigation skills. Or, if your kid is anything like I was, it's a great way to build a town and then play Godzilla.
* Lego is always a classic choice, and they have
my first Lego set buckets full of larger sized Lego pieces, to keep from any choking hazards. Legos nicely snap together so your kids can easily pick up and go with their creation in tact.
* For a oldie but a goodie, you can get a set
colored wooden blocks. Fun for building whole cities, tall towers, or maybe just sorting by colors and shapes.
* For something a little different, Magnaset'>clear color tiles that teaches how flat building pieces can be put together to make a 3D object. It'll blow your kid's mind!
* Lincoln Logs are an enduring choice that you probably played with yourself as a kid. Pass on the tradition; there are many different

Art Toys
If your child has a penchant for drawing on the walls, don't be mad. Encourage their artistic ability! Just... on paper.
* You can get your child both a
green paint just about everywhere
* For supplies, there's plenty to let your child's creativity roam free. From classic
chalk sticks; it's an easy way to get the kids outside where they can let the sidewalk be their canvas.

Mr. Potato Head is another throw back that can always been built on. With so many different pieces that can be put anywhere, it really brings out some great silly fun.
* There are
play doctor with grandma, there are sets to keep your child occupied for hours.
