Plainly put, mineral baths and bath salts are great at what they do. As a soak, they soften and rejuvenate skin, and can reduce the effects of allergic reactions. As part of a bath, they can exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin and chemicals. And regardless of what they've had added to them, their scent can relax your muscles and soothe your lungs. Epsom salt has some especially great effects on the nervous system, reducing fluid-filled swells (boils, carbuncles, abscesses and even acne) and soothing muscle aches.
