Diving Boots
Diving boots or diving booties are thin booties usually made out of neoprene meant to be worn inside diving fins in order to protect the divers fin and also to maintain a firmer grip on the diving fin.
There are a variety of different types of boots for scuba diving.
* Warm water diving boots are cooler and made for diving in warm waters. Examples of destinations are Hawaii, Northern Great Barrier Reef and Papua New Guinea
* Cold water diving boots provide more protection against the cold and keep divers warm.
* Low cut diving boots are comfortable slip on booties that are convenient and easy to use.
* High top diving boots provide better protection since they cover more skin area than low cut boots.
* Snorkeling boots are somewhat similar to diving boots but certain features and characteristics make them more suitable for snorkeling and less suited to deep sea diving.
When diving in cold waters, you might want to use thermal hotsocks in addition to your diving boots to keep your feet warm.
