Citronella Candles

By User:Kristenmollica @timeAndDate(1265323340) It's summer again and you find yourself entertaining a party in your backyard but it's been ruined by pesky mosquitos and bugs! If this is a frequent scenario for you, try using citronella reed diffusers. As with any candle use, always use precaution and never leave your candles or torches unattended. Candles are always labeled to tell your proper burning times. Also make sure you never burn these candles inside your home (plus the scent is not very appealing).

Candles

*tealight holder. *decorative bowl, place the candles in, and light! Like tealights, you'll need quite a few to have an affect.  *votive holder. Make sure you get a holder that is safe for outdoor use. These have a short burning time, only a few hours.  *pillar holders. Depending on the size, these candles can burn for several hours and will last you a long time.  *mini torches in a bucket.  * Jar Candle: Like the bucket, these are easy to burn and store since you won't need a holder. * Torches: Not to be confused with a torch that holds oil, these are actual candles shaped like a torch that you can burn. You place them in the ground like you would a regular torch and they usually come in fun colors and patterns.

Torches and Lamps

*tiki torches. *ceramic oil lamps.

Make Your Own

Many people have taken it upon themselves to make their own candles and you certainly can do the same for citronella candles. If you buy a regular candle making kit, all you have to do is add a few drops of citronella oil while the wax is melting and presto! You can turn any candle into a citronella candle!
