Arrested Development

By User:AllieCashel @timeAndDate(1276701820) Listed as one of Time Magazine's 2007 "100 Best TV Shows Of All Time," this American sitcom's excellence has been recognized through its many awards, its critical acclaim, and its huge following. The show itself focuses on the workings the Bluth family, a horribly (but also hysterically) dysfunctional, once wealthy family. ''Arrested Development'' has a similar style to the popular TV Show ''The Office'', using many of the same hand held camera techniques and narration styles to create the mockumentary. The show doesn't rely on laugh tracks or a studio audience to pull viewers along but was able to quickly became one of the funniest shows to grace American TV. These three brilliant seasons of ''Arrested Development'' are sure to have you laughing out loud every time you watch.

The Seasons

* '''Season One''': In the first season, viewers are introduced to the inner mind workings of each member of the Bluth family. It focuses around Michael Bluth, the only seemingly normal member of a completely insane family, who feels certain he will be given ownership of his fathers real estate company upon his retirement. That is of course, until its passed on to Michael's mother, a mistake that seems tiny when compared to Michael's father's immediate arrest and the resulting freeze on the family's previously limitless wealth. Michael becomes CEO and attempts to control his family's spending while you watch them navigate their new found troubles in this laugh out loud, farcical, award winning 24 episode season. * '''Season Two''': This 18 episode season continues to loosely follow the plot of Michael and his family's search for their runaway father while still attempting to keep their his company a float, but (perhaps as a result of the pending cancellation and the writers desire to just have fun) also includes many other seemingly random but absurd and funny side plots. For example, at one point in the season, Buster joins the army but soon returns because his hand has been bitten off by a seal. Stock full of guest stars, witty jokes, and brilliant dialogue the season may feel slightly ridiculously at times, but overall is just as gratifying as season one. * '''Season Three''': This season was only 13 episodes long but managed to successful truncate the complex story lines of the many members of the Bluth family. Like the second season, it focus on the relationships with in the Bluth family and the family's housing development company being investigated for treason in Iraq as well as exploring many other hysterical sub plots, packing as many jokes into the short season as possible. Certain to keep you laughing throughout, this season provides a satisfying end to the short lived yet ingeniously comical and popular American sitcom.
