He managed to land several series under the pseudonyms Jill de Ray and Curt Vile and he spent the eighties working as a freelance writer and honing his storytelling craft. As his reputation as a writer of surprising depth and complexity grew, he landed work in the nineties writing for such venerable characters as the Swamp Thing, Batman, and Superman. After founding his own publishing company, Mad Love, in 1988, Moore went on to write many groundbreaking series, including the anarchic ''V for Vendetta'' and the genreTime 100 Novels " list, Moore has pushed the boundaries of comics more than any other writer.
