Acne Soaps

Acne is no fun, and despite invoking visions of awkward teenagers, it transcends age.  Treating acne at any age is frustrating because it requires a balancing act.  You want to remove oil, dirt and bacteria from your skin, but you don't want to deplete it of moisture.   While certain people benefit from more aggressive acne treatment, others may find that strong products irritate their skin and ultimately exacerbate their acne.  Similarly, the severity of the acne is an important consideration.  A person with severe acne will require a different product than a person who is simply seeking a preventative routine.  Some acne products have moisturizers and exfoliants.

Soaps for Treating Acne

If you already have acne, you likely require a more aggressive soap that treats pores that are already blocked.  You may also need to find a soap that will rid your skin of the acne bacteria.  * Look for a salicylic acid soap.  Salicylic acid is a mild but effective ingredient found in many soaps and washes.  * For more severe acne, you may need a benzoyl peroxide soap, which will also help reduce inflammation.   * Try a tea tree oil soap, which will naturally fight the bacteria that causes acne.   * Lather up with natural cleansing ingredients found in lava soap.
