Types of ATV's
There are three types of ATV's out there:
* Recreational ATVs are built for trails and getting you around. They don't have enough clearance or suspension to do any serious rock climbing.
* Sport ATVs have a big, soft suspension with a a high center of gravity. These also have more power and a lighter build, so these will fly down the trails.
* If you are hauling logs or supplies, a work ATV has a stiff suspension, low center of gravity, and a powerful engine that you will need to get the job done.
ATVs are typically around 600 pounds. A common rule of thumb is to buy an ATV that is roughly three times your body weight so that the vehicle is not overly bulky and heavy. If the four wheeler is too big for you it will be difficult to steer and control. Full sized ATVs typically come in 90cc vehicles.
