    Ross Simons charges exorbitant shipping fees, and many of their items are frequently OUT OF STOCK, and long to be delivered after ordering. Additionally, some items lack important details (i.e., jewelry -- stone size, quality) that are really needed to make an intelligent decision on purchases. More attention needs to be paid to customer tracking and service and a little less to marketing in order for them to keep customers returning. Furthermore, many items are quality merchandise, but others are not and need to be returned -- there seems no consistency of quality control with what I buy from them, and, as a result, I end up returning 2 out of 3 items I purchase. Since they DO NOT return shipping fees to the consumer, they need to reduce their almost $25.00 shipping fees that gouge the public.

    In December of 2004 I ordered 8 sets of flatware ($200). They missed the promise date three times. When I called corporate I received the order three weeks later - in April of 2005... damaged. Returned and bought it at Macy's. In May of 2005 I ordered a pewter wine cooler, $250 RS price - came with a metal stain on the lid. Can't give a wedding gift with a stain on it. Today, late June 2005 I tried to order sterling silver candle sticks with the coupon discount on the front cover of their catalog (20% off and free shipping on all purchases in this catalog). Was told the coupon didn't apply. Asked for a supervisor and asked her to show me where it didn't apply. She couldn't find it and wouldn't honor it. I've been a customer of Ross-Simons for over 20 years, and a frequent buyer... so you'd think you'd get better treatment. Save yourself the misery - this company is a sham, a scam and deceptive! Need I add poor quality products, poor customer service and problems galore?

    Really disappointing experience again with Ross Simons! They advertise a sale and then after ordering -- the next day they tell you it's not available. Really poor website! They cannot guarantee availability if you order on the web!!! So why buy from them????
