Copperhead" — $5.89
To use the copperhead, you must insulate one side of each microclip by using a piece of tape on the jaw. Then just attach the clips to the tail of the igniter, with the insulated sides of the clips on opposite sides of the igniter. At this point, you'll have continuity and you can fire off the igniter. I recommend a 12V car battery to set these types of igniters off, as they take a bit more current.
Grave Danger — $36.95
Pencil. Ruler. Scissors. Masking Tape. Hobby Knife. Wood Glue or 5-Minute Epoxy.

Video-Book Collection — $71.66
"First of all the latest version of RockSim is great. Everything that was ordered arrived on time and in proper order. In fact, I used RockSim several times while attending LDRS-24 ( a fabulous event!). It's incredibly convenient having a product like RockSim in the field when you have to calculate delays, or want some help estimating wind drift.
Quest Sport — $10.58
What is a RockSim Design file? The RockSim software gives you a lot of information about the flight characteristics of this rocket: how high, how fast, where it will land, how will it react to wind, etc. The "design file" is intended to save you time. All the parameters (size, shape, weight, fin design, etc.) of this rocket have already been entered into the RockSim program, and saved as an electronic database file. You can just open it up in your copy of RockSim and start loading different rocket...

Quest Complete Launch Pad System — $23.30
The launch controller from Quest is unique, and I think if far superior to the one from Estes. First, it is a pistol-grip design. That makes it easy to hold. Second, it uses a single 9 volt battery. That is much cheaper than the 4 AA size batteries that the Estes launch controller uses. And finally, it has two ways to let you know that you are ready for launch. It has both a loud alarm beeper, and a blinking LED light. The Estes controller uses a light bulb that sucks the energy out of batteries...

Quest Q2G2 Igniter — $7.48
Low Current, Low Voltage. These igniters are also more forgiving of dying batteries in your launch controller. It only takes a little electricity (120 ma) to set them off. So where other igniters may not ignite, these babies will flare up and get your motors going. Please note that since they are very low current igniters, some controllers intended for "high-power" rockets can set them off during continuity tests. Be sure to hook up an igniter to your system before inserting it into the motor to...

FIX-IT Epoxy Clay — $10.60
" I really like using "Fixit" epoxy clay for fillets. It gives you a couple of hours or better to work with it, then sets up like a rock when its cured. Here's the tip: After mixing up the two part epoxy clay, I roll a little more than I need and press it into place with my fingers. I use the rounded end of a popsicle stick (dipped in rubbing alcohol to keep it from sticking to the clay) to scrape off the excess clay. This creates a very uniform fillet shape. Then I wet my finger with alcohol...

54mm Diameter ROUSE-TECH MONSTER MOTORS RMS-54/1706 Hardware Set — $179.99
A. Great Question! It has to do with the physics of rocket motors. To make such an motor case, you would have to design it to fit the largest engine. Then smaller motors would have a lot of empty space in them. First of all, this would be inefficient because you're carrying excess weight into the air. The extra space that should be filled with propellant causes problems with the rest of the propellant burning. There are vibrations and acoustics that resonate in the empty chamber that make sustaining...

Piston Launcher For model rockets that use an 18mm diameter motor (A, B, and C-size) — $11.24
The purpose of a piston launcher is to provide an extra kick to the rocket as it takes off. It does this by collecting the exhaust gases from the rocket engine inside a tube. As the gases build up, the pressure inside the tube increases and kicks the rocket off the pad with a higher velocity. It is estimated that the altitude increase from this can be greater than 5%. That's not bad, since you don't need to change anything else with the rocket.

USB Data Transfer Kit — $34.61
By the way, a fresh battery lasts about 23 hours, so you don't have to worry about the rocket sitting on the launch pad for a long time before you finally launch it. The unit doesn't start recording until it detects the actual launch. While it is sitting on the pad, it is just in the stand-by mode. All this controlled by software instructions that are already built into the payload. For your part, just turn it on, and drop it into the payload bay of your rocket.

Estes Launch Pad — $36.03
A. First, you'd need to swap out the aluminum rod with one made of steel . Aluminum is good for lightweight rockets, but you'll get too much whip of the model if the wind is breezy. Second, you would need to put a block of wood under the middle of the pad to prevent it from flexing under the weight of a heavier rocket. You should also make sure the rocket is higher on the launch rod, so the flame doesn't pound the blast deflector too hard. Otherwise, it may flex and snap off the plastic legs. Most...

By using balsa fins, you'll be teaching yourself construction techniques that you can use on all your future rockets. Kevlar® shock cord system - Stronger than steel, so the parachute won't seperate from the rocket when it deploys. You do want to get your rocket back after the flight, don't you?. Piston Launcher For model rockets that use an 24mm diameter mot — $11.99
