I was on a tight budge but i still wanted a my 7 piece setup. This is the way to go. The cells are blended birch which brings the price down considerably but there is barely a noticeable difference between that and the all birch shells. It comes with very good hardware which is a huge bonus. I replaced the snare with a custom and put a double pedal on the bass drum and this thing is great. One of the most heavy sets you can get. Deffinetly worth every penny.

This Gretsch blackhawk 5 piece standard is decent. It is my first drumset, however I have played on higher end kits (Pearl reference, Ludwig fab 4 maple Dw collector.) I find it a decent, not good or bad but decent drum set. The snare is the worst part I would say. Its really hard to tune, it went out of tune about 5 times in the past week that I've had it. The floor tom and the 12" tom are my favorites. The bass drum needs muffling so I suggest the eq3 evans bass head pack. You need new heads also...
