I purchased this cooler for my Intel Quad core processor. The cooler is impressive looking but I did not get a chance to use it because of the poor quality of the backplate which is necessary for mounting the CPU. Two back-plates are provided. One is for the Intel CPU and the other is for the AMD CPU. The backplate is a plastic type material with four embedded threads for attaching the CPU.
