Thought I would let you all know about a bad experience I have had with ordering gear from Moosejaw. I ordered a pack from them that was reduced by 25% and was told via email from their customer service, that the pack would be shipping that afternoon ...

These guys have great gear. I have bought from them previously offline and been very pleased with their products. High quality and pretty reasonable for camping gear. Their site is first rate and they have a good selection of stuff they sell in...

I guess I should consider my self lucky after seeing some of the bad reviews about the store. But overall I really had a pleasant experience with Moosejaw. I was shopping for a rather odd item - convertible mittens which are the kind that the top ...

Neglected order, " couldn't interpret credit card number", failed to notify me, and a child had no coat for Christmas day. Their response, "simply reorder", "we were very busy". I was furious.

I ordered a North Face backpack from Moosejaw at a price $20 less than at most other online retailers. They shipped my pack on time and I received it within a few days of shipment. Unfortunately, they shipped me a large rather than a medium. I e-mailed...

Competitive prices on the tent and back pack I was looking for. My order shipped promptly and arrived on-time. The packing job they did left a little to be desired. Due to a complete lack of packing material, the box was a bit mashed in the shipping process. Merchandise was undamaged, however.

This store does not have up to date inventory online. I placed an order and my credit card was charged. Only to get called a day or two later to try and talk me in to a different color or size because what I ordered (and paid for) was not available.

An excellent merchant. I've ordered several times from Moosejaw and always received the products early and in excellent condition. Their web site is humorous and fun to browse. Ordering is very straightforward and easy. Customer service seems to be a priority and their phone reps are knowledgeable about the products they sell.

I have made multiple orders over the past year with Moosejaw and have never experienced better customer service in my life!!! This company is quirky which makes it fun to shop on their site and talk to them. I have returned a couple products because I needed a different size or didn't need the product after all and I never had one problem - they have a great return policy! Fedex lost one of my orders and Moosejaw sent another shipment out one day after they talked to Fedex. Bottom line - this is the best company to order any outdoor equipment from - they have top of the line products and the best prices and service!!!

Purchased some hiking gear, they were awesome. Great customer service, the best prices (I found) and good shipping times (also, free ship over $100) I will definitely be coming back soon!

Moosejaw is a company with an old-fashioned honesty and value system wrapped in a youthful shell. The wit and humor that you are subliminally subjected to is a refreshing change to the seriousness of their competitors edgy and often Extreme claims. Moosejaw embodies the "Life is good" mentality and when you do business with them, life IS good. I have spent more than I care to recollect at Moosejaw. Their policy for price matching is than the big-box stores and the personal level of service is over-and-above. So, when you order from Moosejaw next, pick up a long sleeved Moosejaw t-shirt, yeah..their cool, but wearing it sends the message that you embrace the carefree, not careless lifestyle that Moosejaw promotes.

Interesting youthful approach to marketing but major ordering problem. Their website took my order with a credit card number and sent a confirmation. A week later with no action, an email revealed that they had no record of the order and didn't know what happened. Their only suggestion was that I resubmit the order on the phone. As a first-time customer, no thanks.

A great on-line retailer in all respects. Ordered several items for Christmas - prices were good and shipping was quick. Had to return an item for exchange due to sizing. A slight problem on reshipping was taken care of by an extra credit and free t-shirt. Customer service reps are first class and will do more than most online retailers to get and keep your confidence as a customer. Their slight irreverence and humorous approach to selling is just icing on the cake. And to top it off they have a reward program similar to that of REI whereby you receive credits on each purcahse good toward free merchandise. Highly recommended and will direct most of my professional outdoor gear purchases to them.

A most unusual company, but I mean that in a very positive way. Their web site is a marvel of weirdness, you want to visit it even if you have nothing in mind to order. Ordering is easy and they accept all major credit cards. Hard to determine if something is in stock or not though. They have a large selection of outdoor gear and apparel at very reasonable prices. Shipping is either UPS or USPS at great rates. Tracking is offered with UPS. No emails were sent to confirm order or shipping, the only real minus about my experience. I ordered on 9/28 and my purchase arrived on 10/1 in great condition (using USPS). A large sticker on the box advised me to not use a knife to open it and suggested using my teeth. I really liked dealing with Moosejaw and highly recommend them. A fun company that seems very customer satisfaction oriented.

I placed an order for a Yakima bike rack on the 28th of April, but when I later checked on the status of my order, it said it would not ship until the 18th of May! Emailing customer support, they said they had *just* received the item from Yakima and it would end up costing more to ship ($66). I find it suspect that they did not contact me about the shipping issue, and charged my credit card when they knew they were going to have to wait for the item to arrive from Yakima. Currently, I still have not been refunded my original billing amount - I hope this is just a delay in their system! To their credit, they gave me a discount coupon, although I'm a little nervous to use it after my previous problems.

I must say shopping at moosejaw was an absolute joy. . .I can't remember the last time I bought something online and was rewarded with a great price, friendly service, and overall smooth transaction. It's true the prices are wonderful and the shipment arrives fast! Love my new TheNorthFace jacket, mmmm.
