Flavorful peas on tendril covered vines. Very sweet, medium-sized peas avg. 6-8 per pod. The 30" vines are of the afila type, which produces many tendrils but few leaves. This makes hand harvesting easier as pods are more visible and plants are upright. The tendrils are popular for garnishing. Days to Maturity: 61

CULTURE: (Fresh Peas): Peas are a cool weather crop. Midsummer pickings are not as heavy or as good as cool or mild weather harvests. For best yields ensure abundant phosphorus and potash and a pH above 6.0. Adjust pH using ground limestone or wood ashes in the row during planting. PLANT: Make the first sowing in early spring as soon as the soil can be prepared. Choose a well-drained area. Sow 1-1 1/2" apart in a 3" band (25 seeds/ft.), 1/2-1" deep. Make rows 12-18" apart for dwarf types, 4-6' apart...

Best of the petit pois types. The pods are very small, only 2 to 3 inches long, yet filled with a full complement of baby peas. Abundant yields are great for freezing and canning if you can get them as far as the kitchen without eating them. Vines grow to about 30 inches and should be fenced for best results.

(63 Day) One of the best early peas for home garden planting. Produces outstanding yields of 3-1/2 inch pods tightly packed with 6 to 7 tender, sweet, dark green peas. Strong vines grow about 28 inches tall and produce many double pods concentrated near the top of the plant for easy picking. Widely adapted to a wide range of growing conditions.
