| Gifts from the sea- windchime - This wind chime base is hand shaped and patinaed copper wire. I used sea/river glass and pottery that I found along the York River, north of Yorktown, VA. Each piece is wrapped with either copper or gunmetal wire and hung together with hemp cording. I used different beads to accent the wrapped pieces. Original artwork was used from a colleague, Heidi Rowell. I shrunk it and decoupaged it on the pottery. I then used a spray enamel to complete the seal. Two aluminum chimes are added by fishing... |
