The Hillsdale Oak Tree headboard has substantial strength to be bolted onto a standard metal bedframe. It arrived quickly in good condition and bolted right up to the bedframe. My only complaint is there is a dark bark mark that is perhaps 1 to 1.5 inches in size, that would have been objectionable if I was placing the piece in a more visible location. Fortunately this piece is on a bed in the basement, so it is fine. It's a random blemish, so you may not have the same issue.
