Matryoshka Nesting Doll$98.00
An elegant miniature doll depicts "The Carmen Suite" by Rodion Shedrin (1967) based on "Carmen" by Georges Bizet (1875). (Oddly, the project was turned down by both Shostakovich and Khachaturian.) Shedrin (born 1932) has been married to Maya Plisetskaya since 1958. She is considered to be one of the greatest ballerinas of the 20th century.
