The sides are all plastic and they set inside the bottom in grooves and you mash it in good or use a hammer to put it into the bottom. This mold will make 30 bars of soap, that are app. 2 1/8 inches wide, 3 1/8 inches long and the mold is 2 inches deep. It will hold 4-10 pounds of soap.
