If you have a 46-50" LCD or plasma TV, this is a great stand (it is approximately 50" wide). It is easy to put together, and is very well built, especially for the price. The tubular frame is powdercoated very nicely and is not too shiny (hence the "matte" finish in the name). This unit is good for the price but I had a problem with the top shelf. This stand is fiberboard covered with a granite looking vinyl. The vinyl separated from the wood and now is buckling, causing a rippling on the top shelf.

Just bought this stand for my new 61" Samsung DLP TV. Stand is a bit wider than the TV so it makes a great place to put the small front speakers just to either side of the TV on the top shelf. Assembly instructions were just photos and not great, but assembly is pretty much self-explanatory. Took about 20 minutes and that's because we had it all together and then realized that we put the bottom glass shelf on upside down.
