This is one approx. 8 1/2" strand of graduated faceted tanzanite beads, nice quality.

Quality fire polished glass beads made in the Czech Republic. The faceted surface sparkles as it reflects light. Most glass beads have standard size holes measuring approximately 1mm and are most suitable for flexible beading wire, silk, or stretch cord.

Important : The newest batch of these beads is more purple than blue (unlike the first batch, pictured above, which was much more blue). The more blue that there is in tanzanite, the more beautiful I think it is. Even though the beads I'm carrying now are more purple, they are still very nice -- certainly nicer than amethyst purple, in my opinion. The last time I posted these beads (in December, 2010) I lowered the price by 20 cents per lot.
