I bought this for my mother and she uses it every day - it sits on her computer desk and she turns it on while she checks her email. It fits on the desk perfectly and is unobtrusive. The ion feature is great as well and it even creates that fresh air smell you get when you've been out in the sun on a cool or wet day. One thing we've noticed is that, while my mother's only had it for a month, there is a black residue forming around the vent beneath the bulbs. I'm not sure if this is a defect or anything...
