The Yakima Universal Lockable Skewer (8002080) serves as a replacement part for Yakima Copperhead & Boa roof mount bike racks and Yakima Locking BedHead, Blockhead pickup truck bed mount bike racks etc. Skewer is lockable using a Yakima Racks SKS lock core and key (not included; see accessories below.) All Yakima fork mount bike racks come with a skewer included. The Locking Yakima Universal Skewer is a replacement part.

Easy to install. Took about thirty minutes. Copperheads work effectively. First time I put a bike on it took about four minutes, but after several times of putting the bike in and out of the rack, time is down to less about a minute. I recommend keeping the strap for the bicycle back tire in the car when not in use. Putting the bikes on the top requires either a tall person, over 6', or standing on the inside of the door frame to get the bike locked down.
