The Thinker Statue of Deep Contemplation by Rodin
Rodin's The Thinker (1879-1889) has become synonymous with deep intellectual contemplation. It is meant to be a portrait of the great writer Dante as part of a series of sculptures related to Dante's Divine Comedy. The statue echoes the French philosopher Rene Descartes' famous quote, "I think therefore I am", although it is not directly related. |

The Kiss Statue by Auguste Rodin - Small - RO02
Once my statue arrived was very happy with the packaging of this one unlike the last wich arrived in three pieces. The statue was a gift for a friend who had been looking for 3 years and was so happy she burst into tears she loved it just a shame it took almost 4 MONTHS to finally get to her. It should have been delivered to Spain but ended up having to come to me in the UK. Only negative thing is it is much darker in colour almost grey compared to the online picture. Many thanks go to Vanessa in... |
