The Little Fire Engine
A classic from the 1940s, back in print. In this adventure, Fireman Small rushes to battle a fire in Tiny Town with his Little Fire Engine. This is a cute enough story, and we carry this replica edition for the collector's value; but be aware that the story line shows a family rescuing valuables from their fully-involved house while firefighting operations... |

I'm a firefighter. Would you like to help me today? Let's get geared up and find the fire engine
What are good books for a smart and precocious nine-year old girl, who doesn't care to read? Try a few from this article. For her age I would specifically suggest Fablehaven or Percy Jackson. They are both mentioned in the article and will both be movies. Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief will be out in Feb. and Fablehaven is just starting production so it won't be out for a while. I've read them both with my 8 year old. :) Good luck! |
