Tarangire Sopa Lodge
Hidden among the kopjes, lies Tarangire Sopa Lodge, surrounded by ancient baobab trees. It is the home of the greatest concentration of elephants in Africa, and other game including the elusive leopard. Over 400 bird species can be spotted here as well. Mara Sopa Lodge
A round structure, the dining room has high ceiling, red painted walls adorned with paintings depicting the Masai going about their every day life. Some walls have framed beautiful beaded necklaces. In the centre is a huge fireplace, decorated at the top with life sized carvings of the Masai and shields, draped with checked red and blue Masai "shukas". Light fixtures are calabashes, used by the Masai for holding water, milk and blood.
