These pants might be ok for summer wear but were a very light denim, almost a chambray weight. They were too big in the waist but too small in the hips. I have a small waist for my hip size so this is almost always an issue. I order talls because I'm 5'8" with a 32" inseam and average lengths are usually too short. I don't mind shortening and would prefer doing that to having pants that look like I'm heading for a flood.

I sent for these jeans (pictured) several months ago for an up-comming special occasion. I was excited when the order arrived and put them aside with my planned outfit...then upon closer inspection found that they litterally swallowed me, also there is no zipper and button, only an elastic waist! At the last minit, I had to find/create a completely different ensamble in order to appear well dressed for the event I had traveled a long way to attend. I expected the pants to hang wider at the hips than they did. In the photograph (on the way to skinny for plus size model) the pants hang straight down from the waistline to the hem. In reality, the larger hip to waistline ratios of plus size women does not appear to be taken into account. These jeans fit loose at the waist and too snug at the hips to achieve the look depicted in the catalog. I would have to order pants at least a couple of sizes larger and put in my own drawstring to achieve...

Ordered a second pair the minute I received these and tried them on. I ordered in a tall (I am 5'9" and like to wear boots with a short heel) - I do roll the jeans up one turn, but thats ok and I haven't washed them yet so who knows they may shrink. The jeans are so SOFT and I loved the weight of the fabric! They will fit any waist because of the elastic and drawstring tie waistband. I usually hate buying jeans, great to find a pair I love.
