I usually love Brad Pitt, I think he's highly underrated. He's usually inspired and passionate, but here I find him boring and his accent is annoying and distracting. The other actora are ok, but no Oscar caliber performances here. Pretty good story at it's heart, though this film just feels hollow to me. The audio/video is great, though I was mildly disapopinted by the slight grain in certain scenes. Features? What features? Not even a trailer. Mot a bad film, and I'll keep it for my Pitt colle...

John Williams' score for Seven Years in Tibet appropriates some Tibetan flourishes, but for the most part is a sweeping symphonic score that fits right into his canon. That's not necessarily a bad thing, since it does deliver the grandeur that Williams fans love, but when compared to Philip Glass' imaginative, unpredictable score for Martin Scorsese's Kundun, it doesn't really soar. ~ Robert Lovering, Rovi
