This is a useful shape but using the hook and loop system on something this small has an inherent flaw. The heat from the friction simply melts the the plastic backing, especially at the tip, making it impossible to adhere the pads properly. Figure to burn each finger out after logging an hour and a half. That gets pricey. This is a design flaw in an otherwise excellent tool.
