My husband and I are vegan and create jewelry with no animal products like leather. The rubber cords make a great alternative. They look great with the lampworked glass pendants that we make and the clasp (which is sterling - a bonus) is small enough for us to put through the pendant loop. It makes it very convenient at a show to pop a pendant on a rubber necklace and have a finished piece. The 3mm cord is nice and sturdy without being overbearing.

I have been looking all over the internet for finished necklaces (to add to the lampworked glass pendants that my husband and I make), and this is the best value I've found, especially since it has a sterling clasp. We've ordered many of these necklaces, and they are sturdy. The 3mm size is really nice, especially with a heavier glass pendant. The clasp is small enough to fit through the loops of the pendants, so we just pop a pendant on and we have a finished piece.

I use cords a lot in my jewelry making. I usually use 2mm and recently tried, and liked, 3 mm. I was a little skeptical at first to order a 4mm cord, thinking it would be too overbearing, but I'm really glad I tried it. It's great! I make heavier pendants (lampworked glass, found objects) and my designs tend to be a little funkier and organic, so these are perfect for my work.
