I am an ameture with practically no experience. But within the first night I was able to see many stars and watch the moons around jupiter. However I would recommend getting an after market star pointer, the one on it isnt the best but I suppose its better than nothing, also I wouldnt mind after market eye pieces and filters as well. But overall is a great telescope.
