The 2006 vintage produced wines with amazing fruit purity and complexity. Yields were slightly below normal, ensuring the vines produced fruit with great flavor concentration. The 39-day harvest gave us a diverse range of wine structures and aromas from which to compose our “Estate” Cabernet Sauvignon blend. The percentages of Syrah, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc are the result of co-fermenting small amounts of these varieties with batches of Cabernet Sauvignon throughout the harvest.
