Here is a nice canteen and cup combination from 1949 and later from West Germany to the modern reunified German Republic. The unit combines a two piece mess kit and canteen. It is held together with a leather strap with a snap fastener for connection to a belt or back pack.It appears that the Germans may have modeled this after their WW 2 mess kit and canteen, widening the mouth of the canteen and making it larger and eliminating the wool cover. This one is nice enough to use today.

Set of 5 photos from one Spanish Family that had family members living in Germany and in the Wehrmacht in WW2. The photos are of two brothers, one who was in the German Army (this is the picture of the soldier with the horse) and the rest are from the other brother who was in the Luftwaffe. European Military-modeled after the US WW2 canteen cup

This is an original matching pair of shoulder insignia from Germany during the Second World War. It has the pink base design to the top with the silver top trim that lets us know that it was worn by a member of the Panzer Corp which were the German's tank corps.
