Deep garnet-purple colour. Intense, very purely fruited nose of warm cassis, mocha, black pepper, black olives and cigar boxes. Great concentration of juicy fruit on the palate, which is well supported by a firm backbone of medium to high acidity and a medium to high, fine grained tannins. Nicely balanced though the oak is still dominating slightly. Long finish. Drink now to 2024.

Opened on Friday and consumed over 3 days. Day 1 Opened and poured directly from bottle. Amazing aromas that you can smell standing 5 feet from the Riedel cabernet glass. Blackberries and violets on the nose. Velvety tannins Day 2: The wine really opened up and the aromas and taste got stronger/distinctive. Amazingly velvety wine that went down like a 10-year old Bordeaux Day 3: Started to fade. Only survived 2 days after opening. I did not use any preservation gas, etc.
