The Tibetan Spaniel originated in the Himalayan Mountains of Tibet and has been known for over 2000 years. “Tibbies” as they are sometimes called, were never purchased, they lived with the Buddhist monks and were only given away as treasured gifts to the very lucky. Base of the flask is decorated by the Dorje. I have seen many old Tibetan metal artworks but nothing of this quality considering that it is made of very hard steel and not silver or bronze.
