I bought this lens as an upgraded kit lens when I purchased my D90 about a year ago. I wanted the extra zoom range of this lens. I'm quite happy with that decision! The lens is very versatile, and seems to be made relatively well. I am easy on my equipment overall, so I think I'll have this lens around for a long time.
