Jan Barboglio designs and creates decorative and sculptural iron accessories inspired by historic Mexico . Each piece is hand worked. These Victorian era napkin rings were cylindrical and quite wide +1 1/2 inches. About 1910 napkin rings became narrower, about an inch in width, and looked even smaller because they were nipped in at the middle. Decoration was sometimes applied. A small, inch-wide napkin ring of plated silver made around 1910, for example, was encircled with the stems, leaves, and buds of the large, open poppy that ornamented it.

description Sterling silver oval napkin ring, 2 1/4" wide and 1/2" tall, deeply monogrammed "Susie". There are no maker's marks on this ring but it is makred "Handmade". The impressions you see on the inside of the ring are from the chased dots on the exterior Arts & Crafts design. This ring is in nearly new condition though we would date it circa 1930-1950.
