This is my first DE and may be my last because its perfect in every way. When you hold this razor you can just feel that its made well. Its quite heavy/durable feeling and the chrome finish is flawless. Since its chrome you have to take a couple minutes after each shave to wipe it down with a soft cotton cloth because the chrome will get cloudy, which isnt a big deal if you take pride in your investments. Best shave ive ever had.

I received my Merkur 23c quickly after ordering. I had magnificent results the first use! I have a light beard, so I was a little concerned about cuts, but it was very forgiving. The shave was close and smooth. I'm glad I bought the long handle. I had no problems with it. The blade went in square to all sides and the razor has a solid heft to it (knurling makes for a good grip). A great razor, well made, great price, and great service. For my first (probably only) DE razor, I am very pleased.
