Vitiano is vinified in stainless steel tanks and aged in Nevers barrels for 3 months before being bottled. This is a young red wine with explosive, luscious aromas. The wine has a wonderful deep, ruby red color with a wide range of organoleptic qualities. It is rich in polyphenols and balanced acidity. The nose is redolent of red cherries, crushed rose petals and dried herbs. The palate adds a hint of black pepper spice. The tannins are soft and approachable, and the wine is very pure and elegant throughout. Although priced for pizza night, don't hesitate pairing this with more serious Italian meals.
