The Bodhisattva of Compassion Wood Statue 36"
This particular pose shows Avalokiteshvara in a very relaxed posture with his chest exposed. His leggings hang loosely between his two legs. His leg posture is quite unique as on leg is bent next to him in an uplifted position with the other hanging down. Avalokiteshvara wears a fancy head dress that combines his hair into a jeweled crown. This pose is a copy of a piece in the Sri Lankan National Museum.
